Moore Places Seventh in Javelin at NEICAAA Championships

HANOVER, N.H. -- Freshman Joshua Moore (Cape May, N.J.) garnered All-NEICAAA honors on Friday during the first day of the 2018 New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships hosted by Dartmouth College.

Moore placed seventh in the javelin with a season-best toss of 191 feet, eight inches (58.42m) to earn the accolade. Sophomore Ryan Bain (Tewksbury, Mass.) added a 15th place showing in the javelin with a distance of 174 feet (53.04m).

Moore also finished 15th in the long jump with a leap of 20 feet, 9.25 inches (6.33m).

Sophomore Trevor Wysong (Taunton, Mass.) was the ninth runner to cross the line in the 10,000-meter run as he posted a career-best time of 31:12.91, while senior Michael Kotleski (Great Barrington, Mass.) checked in at the 20th spot in the preliminaries of the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 57.10 seconds.

On Saturday, junior Joseph Keough (Walpole, Mass.) and sophomore Joshua Higgins (Fitchburg, Mass.) will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and 800-meter run, respectively, while seniors Zack Viera (Fairhaven, Mass.), Justin Lucier (Attleboro, Mass.), Joseph Kisamore (Attleboro, Mass.) and Michael Sanpietro (South Easton, Mass.) will run on the Bears' 4x800-meter relay squad.
