NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Five members of the Bridgewater State University men's outdoor track & field team competed at the Silfen Invitational hosted by Connecticut College on Friday evening.
Junior Joseph Keough (Walpole, Mass.) and sophomore Trevor Wysong (Taunton, Mass.) placed fourth in their respective events. Keough posted a season-best time of 9:46.95 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, while Wysong recorded a career-best time of 14:55.66 in the 5,000-meter run.
Sophomore Joshua Higgins (Fitchburg, Mass.) placed eighth in the 800-meter run with a career-best outdoor time of 1:55.50. Seniors Joseph Kisamore (Attleboro, Mass.) and Justin Lucier (Attleboro, Mass.) finished 10th and 20th, respectively, in the 1,500-meter run as they both recorded season-best marks. Kisamore posted a time of 4:02.07, while Lucier crossed the finish line in 4:08.14.
The BSU men's outdoor track & field team will compete on Saturday at the Jerry Gravel Classic hosted by Westfield State University.
