Men's Track & Field Competes at Tufts Final Qualifying Meet

MEDFORD, Mass. -- Seven members of the Bridgewater State University men's indoor track & field team competed at the Tufts Final Qualifying Meet on Saturday at the Gantcher Center.

Junior Cameron Williamson (North Easton, Mass.) placed second in the triple jump with a leap of 45 feet, 2.25 inches (13/77m), while classmates Austin James (Mansfield, Mass.) and Brayden Hollowell (Nashua, N.H.) finished fourth and seventh, respectively, in the shot put. James posted a mark of 45 feet, five inches (13.84m), while Hollowell recorded a toss of 44 feet, 10.25 inches (13.67m).

The Bears' 4x400-meter relay squad featuring freshmen Lamont Haynes (Boston, Mass.), Joshua Higgins (Fitchburg, Mass.) and Kyle Cordeiro (Westport, Mass.), and junior Michael Kotleski (Great Barrington, Mass.) placed sixth in the event with a time of 3:23.32.
