Three Bears Garner All-New England Honors at DIII New England Men's Indoor Championships

MEDFORD, Mass. -- Three members of the Bridgewater State University men's indoor track & field team garnered All-New England honors at the Division III New England Championship held on Saturday at Tufts University.

Junior Cameron Williamson (North Easton, Mass.) finished fifth overall in the triple jump with a leap of 44 feet, 10.25 inches (13.67m), while classmate Brayden Hollowell (Nashua, NH) placed fifth in the shot put with a toss of 47 feet, 9.75 inches (14.57m).

Freshman Lamont Haynes (Boston, Mass.) rounded out the Bears' All-New England performers as he placed seventh in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.81 seconds.

The Bears recorded ten team points to finished in a tie for 16th place in the team standings with Wentworth and RIC. 

Next weekend, qualifying members of the BSU men's indoor track & field team will compete at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships which will take place at the Reggie Lewis Center.
