BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – For the third straight week and seventh time this season, Bridgewater State University senior Conor Murtagh has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.

Murtagh captured the 110-meter hurdles title at the ECAC Division III Championships held last week at Westfield State University. The Walpole, Massachusetts product posted a finals time of 14.38 seconds as well as a preliminary time of 14.21 seconds.

The Bears' four-time All-American (two indoor, two outdoor) currently ranks third in all of Division III in the 110-meter hurdles. He will compete in the event later this week at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships for the third consecutive season.

The MASCAC Track Athlete of the Week honor marks the 22nd of Murtagh's impressive career including eleven outdoor distinctions.

Murtagh currently holds the BSU outdoor record in the 110-meter hurdles (14.17) as well as the school indoor marks in both the 55-meter hurdles (7.69) and the 60-meter hurdles (7.96).

The NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place from Thursday, May 26th to Friday, May 28th at Walston-Hoover Stadium on the campus of Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. The preliminaries of the 110-meter hurdles is slated for 4:15 PM (CDT) on Friday with the finals on Saturday afternoon at 1:50 PM.
