Murtagh First in Preliminaries of 110-Meter Hurdles at NCAA Championships

WAVERLY, Iowa -- Bridgewater State University senior Conor Murtagh (Walpole, Mass.) finished first in the preliminaries of the 110-meter hurdles on Friday at the 2016 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.

Murtagh posted a time of 14.21 seconds to top the field and advance to Saturday's finals. The finals of the 110-meter hurdles, which features the top eight performers from the preliminaries, will take place at approximately 1:50 PM (CDT).

Classmate Josh Goehring (Haverhill, Mass.) finished 12th in the preliminaries of the the 800-meter run with a time of 1:52.21. Goehring was seeded 18th in the event.
