BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman Cameron Williamson has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Outdoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week.

A native of Easton, Massachusetts, Williamson placed ninth in the triple jump at the ECAC Division III Championships with a season-best leap of 45 feet, 7.75 inches (13.91 meters). He helped the Bears finish in eighth place at the meet out of a field of 57 scoring teams.

Williamson also earned MASCAC Outdoor Rookie of the Week honors back on April 20th for his performance in the triple jump (45'6.25"/13.87m) at the 8th Annual ECSU Invitational.

During the winter indoor season, Williamson garnered All-ECAC honors in the 4x200-meter relay and All-New England Division III accolades in the triple jump. He was also a two-time MASCAC Rookie of the Week as well as a two-time MASCAC Field Athlete of the Week.
