Men's Tennis Falls to RIC, 9-0

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – The visiting Rhode Island College men's tennis team posted a 9-0 victory over Bridgewater State University in a Little East Conference match on Thursday afternoon at the Rosen Memorial Tennis Courts.

The Anchormen improve to 6-1 on the season and 2-0 in the Little East, while the host Bears fall to 0-2 overall and 0-2 in conference play.

RIC swept the three doubles matches and won all six singles flights in straight sets to record the win.

Freshman Cam Chadwick (Narragansett, R.I.) won the battle of the top flight singles players as he defeated BSU senior Justin Haley (South Yarmouth, Mass.), 6-1, 6-1. Chadwick also teamed with classmate Mike Dickie (Smithfield, R.I.) for an 8-0 triumph at second doubles.

In upcoming action, the Bears entertain the Crusaders of Holy Cross on Tuesday afternoon at 3:30, while the Anchormen host the Lynx of Lesley University on Monday at 3:30.
