BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University senior Chris Jastrab has been selected as the Little East Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week.
Jastrab, who hails from Chicago, Illinois, posted a 6-1, 7-5 straight set victory at second flight singles in the Bears' season-opening 7-2 setback to Johnson & Wales University last week.
In two seasons with the Bears, Jastrab is 5-4 in singles play competing exclusively at the second flight. He is also 5-5 in doubles competition.
The 2017 campaign continues for the BSU men's tennis team on Saturday as the Bears (1-0) open Little East Conference play at Rhode Island College. Match time is slated for 1:00 PM.
