Men's Swimming & Diving Drops 176-63 Decision to Roger Williams

BRISTOL, R.I. -- The Bridgewater State University men's swimming & diving team dropped a 176-63 decision to Roger Williams University on Wednesday afternoon at the RWU Aquatics Center.

The Bears (2-3) received a pair of wins from senior Jameson Rose (Somerset, Mass.) and junior Giulian Santos (Framingham, Mass.). Rose captured top honors in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:09.00, while Santos was the first to touch the wall in the 50 freestyle as he posted a time of 22.47 seconds.

Senior Alexander Belinsky (Norton, Mass.) placed second in both diving events. Belinsky posted scores of 207.90 points on the one-meter board and 226.87 points on the three-meter. He was edged out by RWU senior Josh Seabrook (West Haven, Conn.) on the three-meter plank by just 1.28 points.

The Bears are back in the pool on Saturday afternoon as they travel to Gordon College for a one o'clock dual meet with the Fighting Scots.
