KINGSTON, R.I. – The Bridgewater State University men's swimming & diving team set three school records on Friday morning at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Championships held at the URI Tootell Aquatic Center.

Senior Richard Smith (Milford, Mass.) broke his own school record as well as the meet record in the 200 individual medley as he posted an NCAA Division III Championships provisional qualifying time of 1:51.75. Smith eclipsed his previous mark of 1:52.97 set a year ago at the NEISDA Championships.

Sophomore Dylon Willis (Attleboro, Mass.) knocked off his own program mark in the 50 breaststroke as he recorded a time of 26.74 seconds. Willis bettered his previous standard of 26.76 seconds set earlier this season at the BSU Invitational.

Junior Jameson Rose (Somerset, Mass.), Willis, freshman Quinn McAlear (Norton, Mass.) and sophomore Sean Flaherty (North Andover, Mass.) eclipsed the school record in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:31.26. The foursome broke the previous BSU record of 3:32.78 set last year at the NEISDA Championships.
