Men's Swimming & Diving Hosts BSU Bears Invitational

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University men's swimming & diving team hosted the non-scoring BSU Bears Invitational on Saturday afternoon at the Moriarty Pool.

The meet marked the end of the regular season for the Bears.

Senior George Apostolopoulos (Mansfield, Mass.) and sophomore Sean Collette (Waltham, Mass.) both qualified for the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Division II/III Championships in the 50 breaststroke.

Apostolopoulos posted a time of 35.43 seconds in the 50 breaststroke, while Collette recorded a time of 36.09 seconds.

The Bears are off until Friday, February 17th when they compete at the three-day NEISDA Championships. Eighteen members of the BSU men's swimming & diving team have qualified for the championship meet.
