Men's Swimming & Diving Takes on Regis at ECSU Meet

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. -- The Bridgewater State University men's swimming & diving team competed against Regis College at a meet hosted by Eastern Connecticut State University on Saturday.

The Bears dropped a 153-113 decision to the Pride.

Freshman Andrew Hebert (Lincoln, R.I.) finished second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 53.59 seconds.

The Bears' 200 medley relay squad of senior Sean Bruno (Easton, Mass.), junior Eric Ford (Oakville, Conn.) and freshmen Charles Anderson (Avon, Conn.) and Hunter Goodrich (Stoughton, Mass.) placed second in the event with a time of 1:46.73.

Bruno and Anderson also finished second in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:36.96.  They were joined in the relay by senior Andrew Green (Middleboro, Mass.) and junior Matt O'Brien (Whitman, Mass.).

After a 12-day layoff, the Bears will compete at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Championships on February 13, 14 & 15.
