Phil Howe began his second stint on the Bridgewater State men's soccer staff in the summer of 2019. Coach Howe also served on the Bears' coaching staff in 2007 when the team won the MASCAC Tournament title and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament. 

A 2010 graduate of Bridgewater State, Phil played for the Bears' men's soccer team under Coach Brendan Adams for four seasons from 2001 to 2004. He tallied five goals and 12 assists for 22 points in 69 career games. A two-year captain, Howe earned All-MASCAC honors as one of the top defenders in the conference in three of his four seasons including first team accolades in 2003 and 2004. Howe helped lead the Bears to the 2004 MASCAC Tournament championship and a spot in the NCAA Division III Tournament. He also played in the NEISL Senior All-Star Game in 2004 and was invited to a New England Revolution tryout.

A resident of North Attleboro, Massachusetts, Howe is a Help Desk Analyst at Shields Health Care Group in Quincy.
