BRIDGEWATER, Mass. – Bridgewater State University freshman midfielder Oliver Peluso Nora has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Soccer Rookie of the Week.
A native of Toms River, New Jersey, Peluso Nora netted his first collegiate goal in the Bears’ 2-1 victory over Emmanuel College last week at Swenson Field.
Peluso Nora has played and started in each of the Bears’ first four games this season. He is the second straight member of the Bridgewater State men’s soccer team to earn MASCAC Rookie of the Week accolades as classmate Robson Montrond (Brockton, Mass.) picked up the honor back on September 3rd.
The BSU men’s soccer team is currently 3-1 on the 2018 campaign. The Bears entertain Rhode Island College on Wednesday night at seven o’clock before opening MASCAC play at noon on Saturday at home against defending conference champion Salem State University.
