BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University freshman midfielder Robson Montrond has been selected as the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week.
A native of Brockton, Massachusetts, Montrond tallied a goal and an assist for three points in a perfect 2-0 week for the Bears to start the season.
Montrond found the back of the net for his first collegiate marker in a 3-1 season-opening victory over Western New England University. He also assisted on the game-winning goal in a 2-1 triumph over UMass Boston.
The BSU men's soccer team travels to Salve Regina University on Wednesday afternoon for a 3:30 game with the Seahawks.
