2015 NEISL Senior All-Star Game

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University senior forward Conor Murtagh (Walpole, Mass.) has been selected to play in the 2015 New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) Senior Division III All-Star Game hosted by Brandeis University on Sunday, November 29th.

Murtagh, however, will be unable to play in the game due to injury.

The 2014 and 2015 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Player of the Year, Murtagh put together an impressive senior campaign as he tallied 18 goals and eight assists for 44 points. He eclipsed David Son's BSU single-season scoring record of 42 points set back in 1991, and also equaled Son's season mark of 18 goals.

Murtagh is currently tied for the Division III lead in game-winning goals with eight and is also tied for 11th in goals and tied for 13th in scoring. He wrapped up the season as the MASCAC leader in all four offensive categories, goals, assists, points and game-winning goals.

In 60 games over four seasons at Bridgewater State, Murtagh amassed 32 goals and ten assists for 74 points. Of his 32 goals, 14 were game-winners. Murtagh is currently second among the Bears' all-time leaders in both goals and points.

This marks the fifth time in the last eight years that Bridgewater State has had at least one player selected to the NEISL Senior All-Star Game.  Former standouts Donald Flores and Dan Roberts were both selected in 2011, Mike White in 2010, Jon Machado in 2008 and most recently Tucker Fairbanks in 2012.

Murtagh is also the only representatives from the MASCAC selected to play in this year's all-star game.
