David Laine joined the Bridgwater State men's basketball coach staff in the summer of 2022 following a two-year collegiate career with the Bears. David is a 2022 graduate of BSU with a degree in physical education.

David appeared in 37 games (18 starts) over his two seasons with the Bears and amassed 114 points, 70 rebounds, 95 assists and 29 steals. He also shot 84.2% (16-19) at the free throw line and 31% (26-84) from three-point range. David was selected to the MASCAC Sportsmanship Team as a senior in 2021-2022.

A resident of Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, David is an activities coordinator at IGolf in Pembroke and also works as a substitute teacher at Bourne High School. He has also served as a camp coach at Mid Cape Hoop School in Harwich and Yarmouth since 2022.
