LANCASTER, Pa. -- The Bridgewater State University men's basketball team posted a 105-64 victory over Washington & Jefferson College in the consolation game of the Lancaster Rotary Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Franklin & Marshall College on Sunday.

Senior forward Kyle Gibson (Franklin, Mass.) garnered All-Tournament honors for the Bears (1-1) who reached the 100-point plateau for the first time since the 2010-2011 campaign when the team hit the century mark three times that season.

Gibson tallied a game-high 21 points on 8 of 11 shooting while adding five rebounds, a blocked shot and two steals.

The Bears turned the game into the rout over the final 5 1/2 minutes of the first half as they closed out the stanza with a 22-3 run. Bridgewater held a 50-29 at the intermission and led by as many as 41 points (including the final score) in the second half.

Senior guard Justin Clark (Yarmouth Port, Mass.) chipped in with 13 points as he was a perfect 4-for-4 from the field including a trio of three-pointers, while junior guard Tyler DeMelo (East Freetown, Mass.) added ten points.

Bridgewater shot 55% (35-64) from the field, 50% (9-18) from behind the arc and 79% (26-33) at the free throw line. The Bears also held a 31-21 rebounding advantage, forced 26 turnovers and limited the President to 35% (23-66) shooting including 1-for-13 from three-point range.

The Bears are off until next weekend when they host Clark University in the opening round of the BSU Bears Invitational on Saturday at noon.
