Tom Cuddihy Selected to Play in NEBCA Senior All-Star Game

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State College senior guard Tom Cuddihy has been chosen to compete in the 2008 New England Basketball Coaches Association (NEBCA) Division III Senior All-Star Game which will take place at Babson College on Sunday, April 13.

Cuddihy wrapped up a brilliant four-year career at Bridgewater State as the program's sixth all-time leading scorer with 1,482 points as he averaged 14.7 points per game.  He holds the BSC career marks for three-pointers made (247) and three-pointers attempted (714), and is third all-time in free throw shooting (.792). Cuddihy's 76 three-point field goals in 2006-2007 ranks third in the Bears' single-season record book.

After being named the MASCAC Co-Rookie of the Year as a freshman in 2004-2005, Cuddihy captured MASCAC All-Conference honors in each of the last three seasons.  He was a First Team selection in 2005-2006 and 2006-2007, and a Second Team honoree this past season.

The Scituate, Mass native led the team with 15.4 points per game this season while shooting a team-best 79.7% (63-for-79) from the free throw line.  He also averaged 2.81 assists per game.

Joining Cuddihy at the Senior All-Star Game from the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) are Salem State's Marquis Victor, and Worcester State's Will Spont and Ryan Frassica.

Boloco has agreed to take on a prominent role this year as a sponsor for the event, which will showcase some of the finest players in the region.  The rosters were selected by several committees made up of area college coaches and are being released by Stephen Brennan, the NEBCA President.

The teams will play at Babson's Staake Gymnasium and the game is expected to get underway at approximately 3:00 PM.  In addition to the all-star game, there will be a raffle with top prizes including Boston Celtics playoff tickets and Red Sox tickets. All proceeds will benefit the Coaches vs. Cancer campaign.  Admission to the game is free.
