WORCESTER, Mass. -- The Worcester State College men's basketball team outscored the Bridgewater State Bears, 11-2, over the final 4:14 of overtime to win their second straight MASCAC game defeating the visitors, 77-68, on Tuesday evening.

The win improves the Lancers to 9-9 (2-3 MASCAC) while Bridgewater State drops to 8-8 (2-2 MASCAC).

The Lancers led by 13 points with 15:48 remaining in the second half when Bridgewater State went on a 14-0 run over a five minute span to take the lead, 48-47, with 10:20 remaining.

With 59 seconds remaining and Bridgewater State leading by a pair, senior Ryan Frassica (Brockton, MA) drilled a three pointer to give the hosts a one-point lead (62-61).  A pair of Josh Barry (Sheffield, MA) free throws increased the Lancer lead to three points, but, with just over 30 seconds left, BSC freshman Judah Jackson (Everett, MA) drained a three of his own that sent the game into overtime.

In overtime, after each team scored two points, Frassica struck again scoring five straight points to help the Lancers separate from the visitors. Worcester limited the Bears to just four points in the overtime session.

Frassica finished with a game-high 28 points, shooting 10-of-18 from the floor including six three pointers.  Sophomore Brandon Fortes (Pawtucket, RI) was also strong from long range hitting five treys on his way to a 21 point, 4 assist night.  Senior Will Spont (Bellingham, MA) posted a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards.  Jackson was the only Bear to reach double figures as he racked up 23 points.

Worcester State will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Salem State.  Bridgewater State will host the same Vikings this Thursday evening.
