Box Score

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- In MASCAC men's basketball action, senior Dave Bisesi scored 36 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the MCLA Trailblazers to a 100-94 win over Bridgewater State College this afternoon in North Adams.

Sophomore center Jim Torney led the way for BSC as he posted a double-double with a career-high 24 points along with 11 rebounds.  Torney connected on 9 of 15 field goal attempts and finished 6-for-7 from the free throw line.  He also blocked 2 shots and recorded 3 steals.

Senior guard Tom Cuddihy and freshman forward Juday Jackson added 19 points apiece for the Bear who placed four players in double-figures. Jackson, who was 6 of 12 from the floor and 6-for-7 from the free throw line, also dished out 6 assists.

Sophomore point guard Anthony Goss had a great all-around game as he posted a double-double with 12 points and a career-high 10 assists. He also pulled down 7 boards and registered 3 steals.

Bridgewater held a 37-35 lead at the half.  The second half, which included five ties, 11 lead changes, and a lead no great than seven,  however would be a different story.

The momentum turned just over a minute into the second half when Benny Cuprill picked off an errant pass and dropped it off to Henry Schrader for one of his ten assists on the afternoon. It seemed to be the spark the Trailblazers needed as Bisesi went on a 28 point second half tear.

Another obvious boost for MCLA was the energy and scoring efforts off the bench from Shalka Rivers who finished the night with his season high 19 points.

The Trailblazers, who scored 65 points in the second half, shot just over 59% (22-for-37)  from the field and 50% (5-for-10) from behind the arch in the final stanza. MCLA also connected on 16 of 21 free throw attempts (76%) in the half.
