Football Reports for Preseason Camp

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University football began preparation for the 2017 season as over 100 players reported to preseason camp on Friday morning and hit the practice field for the first time later in the afternoon.

Head Coach Joe Verria's Bears open the 2017 campaign on Saturday, September 2nd when they travel to Buffalo State for a noontime non-conference game against the Bengals.

Following the home opener against non-conference foe Endicott College on Saturday, September 9th, the defending MASCAC champion Bears open conference play against rival Framingham State University on Friday night, September 15th at 7:00 PM.

The 2017 Homecoming Game on Saturday, October 21st (4:00 PM) will feature MASCAC opponent Western Connecticut State University.

Once again, the season culminates with the annual Cranberry Bowl game against MASCAC rival Mass. Maritime Academy. The 39th version of the Cranberry Bowl will take place in Buzzards Bay on Saturday, November 11th at noon.
