2007 NEFC All-Academic Team 

BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State College football team placed 11 members on the 2007 New England Football Conference (NEFC) All-Academic Team which was announced today by NEFC Director of Publicity, Roger Crosley. 

Heading the list of BSC athletes on the all-academic team are senior defensive tackle Robert Morrissey (Gloucester, MA) and senior linebacker Anthony Vizakis (Bellingham, MA).

Members of the junior class named to the team are defensive backs Justin Ferreira (East Providence, RI) and Aaron Santos (Providence, RI), linebacker Patrick Gendron (Westford, MA) and tight end Joel Gervais (Oxford, MA).

The sophomores are represented by offensive linemen Joel Nunes (Taunton, MA) and Jeff Smith (Danvers, MA), linebacker Casey Florence (Bridgewater, MA) and tight end James Mahoney (North Dighton, MA).

To qualify for the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must have played his sophomore, junior or senior season of eligibility and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 through the most recently completed fall semester. There were a total of 208 student-athletes amongst the 16 teams in the NEFC that qualified.
