HANOVER, Mass. -- The Bridgewater State University equestrian team competed at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Zone One, Region Four Championships on Saturday at the Holly Hill Show Stables in Hanover.
Senior Kelly Thies (Cranston, R.I.) placed sixth in intermediate flat on Elian, a 16.2 grey gelding. Thies also rode Cruise, a 17 hand chestnut gelding, in intermediate fences and placed fifth.
Sophomore Tessa LeBlanc (Harwich, Mass.) and junior Sydney Hawes (Pembroke, Mass.) both competed in the walk trot canter. LeBlanc placed third on Jack, a 15.3 chestnut gelding, while Hawes finished eighth whule riding Casper, a 17 hand grey gelding.
