Stephen Wahome is Cross Countrys 2009 Model Teammate of the Year.

, a freshman from Lowell MA, has provided the BSC Men's Cross-Country team with an unexpected but electric spark as he has emerged as the team's number two runner all season. Wahome has posted a season best of 26:20 in the 8k at the UMass Dartmouth Cross-Country Invitational. Head Coach Jim Simoneau will advocate for Wahome's impact on the team saying "Wahome is adjusting to the college lengths well as well as providing the team with leadership through his racing." As Coach Simoneau alludes to Wahome has won over his teammates through hard work and relentless race effort. Assistant Coach Smith mentions that the young BSC stud "quietly works as hard or harder than anyone on the team and is a constant positive example to his peers". Steve Wahome has shown Bridgewater what it means to be a true Bear from the times he puts up on the course to the work he puts in off.
