BRIDGEWATER, Mass. -- On Sunday, April 26, 2015, Bridgewater State University will be hosting the 21st Annual South Sectional Aquatics Meet for Massachusetts Special Olympics at John J. Kelly Gymnasium and the Moriarty Pool.
The success of this event relies heavily on volunteers and, in the past, the response from our town and college community has been incredible. We hope this year won't be any different! If you've volunteered for Special Olympics before, you know what a rewarding experience it is and, if you haven't, this is a great opportunity to find out firsthand!
We are looking for volunteers to spend the morning, afternoon, or entire day helping contribute to the success of this annual event. Volunteers escort athletes to the pool area, present awards to athletes, time swimming events, help distribute athlete lunches, organize games and other activities for athletes to participate in when they are not competing, manage the Parent's Lounge, and MUCH MORE!
