Bristaco Celebrates K-O's 10th Birthday at Brockton Rox Game

BROCKTON, Mass. -- Bridgewater State University mascot Bristaco joined his fellow mascots for K-O’s 10th birthday festivities at the Brockton Rox game with the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs on Tuesday night at Campanelli Stadium.

The Rox, who compete in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL), defeated the Dirt Dawgs, 7-2.

Other mascots in attendance for K-O’s birthday party were Digger of the Dirt Dawgs, Paws from the Pawtucket Red Sox, Slide from the New England Revolution, Stonehill College’s AcePenman from Southern New Hampshire University, Brockton High School’s Boxer, Silver Knight from the Nashua Silver Nights and the Worcester Shark’s Fin.

Also present at the game were kids from the Bridge Partnership Program as well as Bears Sports Network and FCBL reporters, Mike Emond and Tara-Lynn Asack.

On Sunday, August 4th, the Rox will host BSU Family Fun Day at Campanelli Stadium as the Rox take on the Seacoast Mavericks at 5:05 PM.  Cost is $5 for adults while admission for children under 18 is free.  The first 100 ticket holders will receive a BSU baseball cap.  Pregame activities beginning at 4:05 PM include playing catch on the field as well as a petting zoo in the Kids Zone. Kids will also be able to meet KO and enjoy music, face painting and inflatables in the Kids Zone.
