The Kenneth “Matthew” Benting Memorial Scholarship Fund was founded byhis family and friends as a vehicle to keep Matt’s memory alive and to celebrate the many successes he had in life. The Scholarship Fund will award scholarships to deserving senior students at Pembroke High School and Hope Floats in Kingston who emulate Matt’s character and commitment to his family, friends andcommunity. The scholarship’s main goal is to assist students who attend college in order to aide them in achieving their dreams and personal life goals. Matt was such a sports enthusiast and liked to provide for others, the scholarship will also be working with Pembroke Youth Sports in an effort to provide young students assistance with registration fees and/or sports equipment.
